Baltimore is happier than other places in the country, no doubt about that. But...
You know what? Every Baltimore blogger has some kind of criticism about the new slogan. It cost too much to develop! It reminds people of heroin! It's just as vague as previous failed slogans!
And look at that picture! Will the neck-less Babe Ruth really make people move here?
Okay, that last one was mine...
Maybe they're right. Maybe it will do nothing. And maybe Baltimore will be filled with shiny happy people. Right? Unfortunately, it's a lose-lose for the Mayor, because you can't prove people moved here because of an expensive tourism campaign...
Well, until next time, don't forget to find your happy place. And I don't mean heroin. Or masturbation.

Please forgive me for this being completely off-topic, but I am wondering what you think about David Simon's "Treme?" To be quite honest about it, the show has been a huge disappointment to me so far. For it is too much like "The Corner" for my taste.
My wife wants to watch it with me, but when we sit down to watch TV, there's always something else we end up watching. Which means I haven't watched any of it yet...
Is Find Your Happy Place In Baltimore from the same people that brought us Get Your Preak On?
From what I found, these are two different agencies. Interesting how different the coverage has been for both campaign.
