The only safe haven in this entire doomed state is Harford County, where the Board of Education has luckily (or through Providence) found a loophole that would allow the kids to avoid Obama's Communistical hypnosis.
So thank the good people at Harford County for saving the state and the free world by leaving a message here.
I already left a message saying they were a laughing stock and an embarrassment to the entire state, but that's because I've already been indoctrinated after watching the Presidential debate. I have the mind of a child...
All this reminds me of the previous time the Harford County people saved us from our easily malleable souls: Remember when Jesus gave people food and people complained because he was spreading the wealth? Well, remember how he came up to speak on the mountain and the Harford County Board of Education proudly pulled its kids away?
Because it's okay to bring representatives from corporations to hog their merchandise onto the kids, but God forbid a kid hears an inspirational message from the President, because if he grows up to be a responsible adult, who's gonna sell meth outside the Royal Farms?

Didn't you know/ The speech was filled with subliminal messages!!!! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
I just hope that they don't make us dress like Chairman Mao now. Brown is not a good color for me, and red trim does nothing for my eyes.
So, if Harford Co. is right, the money I saved with BGE with budget billing could be in jeopardy? Damn those kids!
MommyK, man, I was out there for about 36 hours, spreading my non-existent wealth. Thank God someone woke me up with a brave "You lie!"
FishHawk, but I bet the kids will love it if the only book they have to bring to school is The Little Red Book.
AWB, you used the budget billing? You're internally spreading your own wealth! That's the worst kind of Communist!
I have two kids in Harford County Public Schools and they both saw the speech. Where did you get the idea that all Harford County schools were not showing it? Their loophole was just that the school got a chance to review it and not have to do the "assignment" that went along with it if they didn't want to, but they watched it.
Jodie, but why were they the only county in the state that needed a loophole? They were contacted by angry parents who were furious that their kids were going to be indoctrinated into Communism or Socialism or--I don't know--Kenya-nism. The angry parents started by pushing their anger toward the assignment (sorry, "assignment") that could have been fine in a climate where the President wasn't vilified as a Communist. But once the assignment was pulled, the angry parents pushed further, forcing the school board to disgracefully search for the loophole.
Oh, and Jodie, as long as I'm here, let me add that you take beautiful photos.
thanks OM - You are right, maybe the parents had "scare tactics" in their minds - you know, how everyone freaks out thinking things are worse than what they are. But the fact is, they still showed it, and the teachers were able to choose which used the assignments and which did not. Trust me, I don't agree with everything on either side politically and honestly, I'm upset that they have changed American History in schools and leave out a lot of it.... but the fact is, most of the kids in HarfCo did indeed see it, so it wasn't banned.
Speaking of scare tactics... recently, I've been bombarded with people I grew up with who think that if we get the swine flu vaccination, we will get a microchip and take the mark of the beast. *sigh* So yes, I can totally see the frustration in how these scare tactics work... it's very irritating.
Jodie, I got an email from them saying that they showed it later, and that whoever didn't want to see it was excused. Which is fine, but it should never have been a big deal anyway, unless people really thought Obama was going to say something that was seriously going to harm their children, which is just crazy. I don't agree with everything he says or does but he's never said anything remotely indoctrinating or offensive in his entire political career.
The word "racist" has been mentioned lately, but I don't think it has been used to label anyone who disagreed with Obama ideologically or for anyone who simply didn't like the man. But between disagreeing with him and demanding a school doesn't show his speech there's a missing link that sure looks like racism.
I've seen some people I respect pushing this flu-vaccine-will-kill-you on Facebook recently. I guess I don't mind them not giving their kids the shot, as long as they send them to school in a bubble.
