The Giant #@*#

The Passive Aggressive Aisle

This sign is very visible in the flower area of my local Giant supermarket. Which raises some questions:

1. Didn't anyone think of being a bit more discreet?

2. Shopbacks. What's that?

3. I like the fact the bad word starts with a # and ends with a #. Very poetic. This is not some random angry typing with one hand while the other hand is white-knuckle pushing the Shift key. No. It's a cryptic puzzle! Or is it?

4. Com'on. It's a recession. No one is buying flowers in a recession. (unless you've been caught cheating on your wife). (or husband). (or partner). (or all three). So why can't I use this area for my shopbacks? And everyone knows my #@*# hardly takes any space.

It's very humble of you to admit that your #@*# doesn't amount to much.

wild guess here.

Shopbacks = shoppingbags?

Shopbacks = stuff you thought you were going to buy but now aren't. The store staff then has to "shopback" all those items to their shelf locations.

FishHawk, everything looks small in Giant Supermarket.

Junald, say hi to your mom.

Make Money and Aaron, but this means the sign is intended to be read by shoppers, which can't be the case. Giant is not the classiest place in the world, but it doesn't curse its customers.

So this must be a sign for flower stand employees.

But it's still facing the store and not the inside of the flower stand... #@*#!!!
