And what kind of a place did I choose to live in, where as a reward for lasting a cold winter I get to experience a summer with thunderstorms and hurricanes.
What's wrong with me?
If only they didn't have those earthquakes in California...
Baltimore. Baltimore? Baltimore.

You sound like someone who should feel right at home in Baltimore. (That was meant as a joke)
By the way, are you are a fan of HBO's The Wire? My wife and I are still suffering the effects of withdrawal after its end.
P.S.: Sorry, I filled my 300 daily limit returning drops before I got to yours. So that is why I didn't drop an Entrecard on you today. I wish there was a way for our cards to be dropped even if we are not getting credit for it.
With this weather, I feel like I'm being punished for something, and that I probably deserve this. Maybe everyone in Baltimore feels the same, which is why the end up in Baltimore (or never leave).
I love The Wire, although I'm taking my time. Just finished season 3. The same guys made The Corner, which was also a great HBO show about Baltimore, with some of the same actors. But the show was all about heroin addiction. It was a great show (more like a mini-series), but most of the time, not an easy one to watch.
And people visiting the blog is much more important than dropping the EC card, so thanks.
The Corner was a little too raw for me, but I hear that basically the same bunch has a new show that is set in New Orleans in the works. Sorry, I can't remember the name of it, nor any of the details about when it is supposed to be coming out on HBO.
I made several posts about The Wire on FishHawk Droppings, which is a blog that I stopped posting on last January. In fact, I posted a weekly synopsis in my own inane style of each episode of the last season.
I plan on moving all of them over to AsTheCrackerheadCrumbles one day, and I would like to include a synopsis of all previous episodes. Since we have all of the episodes already, it could be done, but there would need to be a site where people could view each episode themselves at anytime before it would as good as it could be. If you know of such a site, please tell me.
LOL, had to laugh; my daughter is in Baltimore. Not one of her favorite places. She's going to grad school there (graduates this month); and is teaching 5th full time. She sings in the Handel Choir and is way too busy. After graduation she's hoping to go back to St. Louis. Though the winters are more mild maybe than Balmer? Those hot nasty humid summers are about the same. She's more comfortable there. Did her undergrad there and it feels like home to her.
I do enjoy the Harbor area though when we come visiting. But...your traffic...wozer.

FishHawk, I don't know about that, no. It's probably not available on the HBO website, because it's a premium channel. Good luck, though.
Sandy, it's not the worst place in the world, but in general, even if you move here, you think about moving out. Which explains why after 6 years here, we still haven't unpacked completely.
