Things to do on a Saturday

I heard that the guy who does the Elmo voice is from Baltimore, so of course here I was, looking at the Baltimore article on Wikipedia, because what else are you going to do on a Saturday?

At the bottom of the page, I found a link to The Baltimore Collective, a really neat wiki site about Baltimore.

Okay, when I say really neat, I mean it could be neat but it needs a lot of work, and it kind of seems slightly deserted, as well. The last article edit happened more than a week ago, and the one before that sometime in February (not including me quickly adding my blog to their list of Baltimore Blogs. Hey, why not?).

So if anyone out there has some time (I'm talking to you, Baltimore residents who play Solitaire on their computers at work. And students who don't feel like studying), edit some of the links. I know some of you on the Right would like to update the article on Sheila Dixon, especially as it doesn't include any of the latest developments. Or "developments." Don't you want to write about how she was snubbed by Obama, at least?

And then, if you have some free time, you can even add Baltimore native Kevin Clash, the Elmo muppeteer.

I'm pretty sure Kevin Clash went to Dundalk Highschool.

He also wrote a book called "My life as a furry red monster," which I read and loved. A good read for anyone interested in Baltimore! It also put an entirely different spin on Elmo for me. My daughter loves Elmo.

You know, I had no idea who Elmo was. I'd like to say that this guy is not how I imagined the real Elmo, but really, the only way I imagined the voice of Elmo was as a human-size Elmo. Maybe less ticklish.
